Fee Schedule

These fees apply to Genesis retail cards. They form part of our Terms and Conditions.


Card prices


  • Virtual: $149, one-time.

  • Standard: $399, one-time. Express shipping is included.

  • Metal: $699, one-time. Express shipping is included.


Validity and renewal


  • Virtual cards are valid for at least 3 years, and Standard and Metal cards for at least 4 years, as shown on the card.

  • Renewing a card costs half of the card’s list price at the time of renewal.


Card top-up


  • 2% of the amount loaded, or 1.8% on Metal, charged in addition to the amount loaded.

  • The minimum top-up is $10.


Card purchases


  • In US dollars: 1.5% of the purchase, charged in addition to it.

  • In any other currency: 3% of the purchase (1.5% card fee and 1.5% currency conversion), charged in addition to it.


Cash withdrawals


  • Standard and Metal: 2% of the amount withdrawn. The ATM operator may charge its own fee.

  • Not available on Virtual cards.


Card verification


  • A management fee of up to $0.20 may be charged each time a card network verifies the card, for example when it is added to Apple Pay or Google Pay.


Monthly, yearly and inactivity fees


  • None.


Costs that are not Genesis fees


  • Network gas, which is a blockchain cost.

  • An ATM operator’s own fee.

  • The fee the fiat on-ramp partner charges when you buy crypto with a bank card.

  • The market cost of an in-app swap, which uses the live rate at the time.
